Antwerp Gem Logistics was founded in 1987 by Jan De Witte, a former logistics director at the Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC). Having spent fifteen years navigating the complex world of diamond trade logistics, Jan recognised a critical gap: the industry needed a specialist shipper that truly understood the unique demands of precious stones — not just as cargo, but as irreplaceable assets with profound cultural and financial significance.
From a modest office on Hoveniersstraat — the very heart of Antwerp's Diamond Quarter — the company grew steadily, earning a reputation for absolute reliability and discretion. Word spread through the tight-knit diamond community: if you needed your stones moved safely, you called Antwerp Gem Logistics.
Today, under the leadership of Jan's daughter Sophie De Witte, the company serves hundreds of clients across six continents. We have shipped everything from single engagement diamonds to entire mining company inventories, always with the same commitment to security, documentation, and care that has defined us since 1987.
